Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity supporting families in your community? Join our Intensive Aftercare Program as a Reunification Worker with PSG/CIP!

The Intensive Aftercare Program (IAP) provides supportive services to families involved with the child welfare system. As the Reunification Worker, you will create care plans for families where children have been placed out of the home, to address the families' unique needs so that children can return home. The Reunification Worker can provide services including: parenting support, school monitoring, random drug testing, curfew checks, job hunting, and/or crisis intervention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE REUNIFICATION WORKER:



  • Conduct face-to-face contact with families daily to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plan.
  • Promote parenting skills with families.
  • Monitor client school attendance by conducting daily attendance checks.
  • Analyze client situations, capabilities and problems to determine services required to meet treatment needs of client.
  • Formulate, implement, evaluate and review client treatment plans.
  • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
  • Act as a resource to evaluate and determine necessary responses in de-escalating crisis situations with youth and families.
  • Monitor compliance with conditions of aftercare plan by conducting up to daily curfew checks/home visits, random urine analysis, and assisting in employment search.
  • Report client behavior to courts and Kenosha County Department of Human Services and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Safely transport clients as needed.


LOCATION: Kenosha, WI. Local travel is required (with mileage reimbursement) to meet clients and families at home, residential treatment centers, or other placement settings and community spaces. Must be able to meet in-person with families.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with one evening shift per week (1:00-9:00pm) and 1-2 Saturdays per month.

SALARY: $22.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
  • Must have at minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
