Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: Commack, NY 11725

Duration: 3 months with possible extension

Shift: Standard shift

Role & Responsibilities:

• Using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patient.
• Able to explain the process to the patient, reassuring and calming patients who might be nervous or scared of the procedure.
• Follow all clinic safety and privacy procedures including OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of blood samples, including printing requisition for lab work and labeling specimen tubes.
• Successfully draw blood for labs through venipuncture, apply dressing to the wound created by drawing blood.
• Use centrifuge, and keep stock of needed supplies, reporting any low inventory to ensure supply is replenished, send blood sample to laboratories.
