What this position entails

The Commercial Product Manager will have an integral role in driving the strategy for IntelliScript's clinical trials product portfolio. This customer-facing role partners with research and development, sales, marketing and clinical teams to develop and maintain the product roadmap, serve as a clinical trials subject matter expert to gather client feedback, and determine the paths to achieving product launch success.

As a Commercial Product Manager focused on healthcare data-driven clinical trial SaaS products, you will have the opportunity to help lead the early market development of new offerings, drive holistic product vision, establish business performance metrics, and align the company around game-changing products from the business case creation to go-to-market strategy.

What you'll be doing



  • Develop an understanding of IntelliScript's business, clients and market diversification strategy
  • Leverage expertise in clinical trials market to refine the product strategy, ensuring alignment with IntelliScript's overall business goals and the specific needs of the clinical trials market
  • Develop and oversee the go-to-market strategy, including market entry, value creation, product expansion tactics, pricing, and customer acquisition strategies
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer pain points to shape product features and enhancements
  • Engage with key stakeholders within and outside the organization, including clinical trial sponsors, CROs, recruitment vendors, research sites, regulatory experts, and product development team(s) to ensure product alignment with market needs
  • Identify and help quantify a repeatable value proposition for core customers (sponsors and CROs) and end users (research sites and recruitment vendors)
  • Work cross-functionally with research and development, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure collaboration, go-to-market milestones and product success
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators for the product's market performance, customer adoption, and financial success
  • Generate new product ideas using business development frameworks, including the business plan, product specifications, and financial pro formas


What we need



  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a SaaS Commercial Product Manager, preferably in life sciences or healthcare-related software
  • Undergraduate degree in business management, technology, data science, life sciences, healthcare, or similar field
  • Deep understanding of the clinical trials process, regulatory requirements, and the technological needs of trial sponsors, CROs and patient recruitment/screening processes
  • Extensive experience in commercial product management, preferably within the healthcare technology or SaaS sectors, with a successful track record of bringing new products to market and scaling them
  • Strong cross-functional capabilities with experience managing diverse teams and complex projects
  • Strategic vision with the ability to execute tactically
  • Highly proficient in articulating product value and strategy to stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and customers
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Jira or other relevant software
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data to improve outcomes or answer business questions
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Willing to travel to client sites, industry conferences, etc. (nationwide, up to 15% travel)

Location

This job posting is expected to close on January 1, 2025. This position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed and travel nationwide for meetings, conferences, and team events (up to 15%).

The salary range is $120,000 - $272,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. If relevant experience is less than 15 years the range would be $120,000 - $243,000; for experience of greater than 15 years, the range would be $134,000 - $272,000. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus plan, prot sharing, and generous benets.
