Purpose: Cleveland School of the Arts (CSA) is a public, auditioned arts school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) serving students in grades 9-12. CSA music students enrolled in band, orchestra, and choir benefit from additional one-on-one and small group instruction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Concurrent position as an applied teacher required
  • Coordinate communications and schedules between CSA faculty and CIM applied music teachers.
  • Attend ongoing professional development opportunities at CSA or CIM
  • Update and monitor student lesson tracking document(s)
  • Participate in assessment and evaluation activities, which may include written surveys, focus groups, and observations
Rate of Pay: $20.00/hr
Length of Employment: 8/26/24 to 5/8/25, or the date a student has earned their full WS award, or is no longer enrolled full time, whichever comes first.
Qualifications:
  • Must have Federal Work Study award
  • Concurrent position as an applied teacher required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Exhibits professional communication skills
  • Prior teaching experience helpful
  • Approval from primary teacher
  • Ability to travel to CSA (about 1 mile from CIM)
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Completion of October 2024 training
