The OHE Foreman is responsible for leading the crew to complete daily tasks and meet customer needs, ensuring crew safety, keeping track of employee hours, completing daily & weekly safety briefings/inspections, and calls in project utility locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtain all of the necessary licenses, permits, and materials for the job.
• Oversee, accomplish, and ensure all work quality related to each project and assume full responsibility for its standard and timeliness. Inspect work to ensure job quality and communicate with customers.
• Coordinate and delegate daily tasks to crew members related to digging and placing product.
• Gain entry to site buildings for work crew and call in utilities located at each project site.
• Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections to ensure the crews work safely.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
• Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, or poles.
• Perform aerial tasks, such as pole transfers, strand building, and lashing.
• Perform construction work, such as digging holes, air pipe, and inner duct work in various types of conduit systems and open excavations.
• Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade.
• Tracks employee hours, turning them in on time.
• Drive, haul, and/or operate equipment to/from job sites to assist crews in completion of work.
• Keep the job(s) moving on time, clean up, and perform job restoration at the end of job.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
