We have immediate per diem (PRN) shifts available for the following position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Midlothian, TX.

Requirements:

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• Required Skills: Labor and Delivery, Level I Nursery, LDRP, Mother/Baby, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Spiral Electrode Placement, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Start & maintain peripheral IV, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Antihypertensives, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage/shock, Recover C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam, APGAR scores, Baby Nurse ("Baby Catcher"), Collect cord samples, ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Car Seat Education, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Metabolic Screen, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Phototherapy, Teach Circumcision care to parents, Thermoregulation, Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, Pain assessment & management, Use of PCA (IV), Breastfeeding Support/lactation support, Episiotomy/Incisional Care, Foley Catheter insertion, Fundus/lochia/perineum care, Wound Assessment and Care, Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Section, Couplet Care, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Vaccine Administration
