Mansfield Service Partners is looking for a Material Handler for our Houston, TX location. The material handler is responsible for maintaining a clean work area, loading and unloading transports and flatbed trucks with product, and performing a variety of routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks.

Duties

  • Load/Unload trucks with non-hazardous waste / filters / cubic yard boxes / absorbents using mechanical or manual means
  • Clean Pump and Unload areas daily
  • Conduct monthly hose/fitting inspections
  • Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to RCRA and disposal guidelines
  • Manage all filter trailers (loading daily)
  • Load, transport, and deliver supplies to customers as needed
  • Assist in completing all necessary paperwork for processing materials to include transportation of materials to and from various locations
  • Calculate tank/tote capacity during refilling
  • Recognize various container size & type
  • Read and understand tote/tank strapping charts
  • Understand and follow all guidelines for handling specific products
  • Help maintain required inventory and notify management of changes/movement
  • Keep shipping area, racks, and floors clean at all times.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs., manipulate up to 80 lbs., and move up to 450 lbs., with equipment
  • Multi-task, prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative and meet company standards
  • Perform general housekeeping duties
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Minimum 2-year warehouse experience
  • Forklift Certification preferred, but must be able to obtain within 3 weeks of employment

Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
