The Counseling & Psychological Center is a unit within UNCG's Student Health Services. The UNCG Counseling & Psychological Center provides a wide range of counseling and psychological services to currently enrolled UNCG students virtually and in person, designed to support and challenge students' personal growth, academic success, and emotional health, as well as services and programs to promote positive mental health throughout the University community. The services may include: short-term individual counseling, group therapy, workshops, psychiatric services, and a variety of outreach programs designed to promote self-help and personal growth. Our staff is committed to meeting the needs of people of diverse racial, ethnic, and national backgrounds, gender, sexual/affectional orientations, mental and physical abilities, religious/spiritual beliefs, and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as other types of diversity.

Group counseling and/or workshops to address students' mental and emotional health needs. Short-term individual counseling and/or psychotherapy in the areas of personal and educational difficulties, social conflicts, significant adjustment problems, and mental and emotional disorders, including initial assessments and crisis intervention. Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders. Appropriate clinical collaboration, consultation, and documentation. Clinical Consultation and Outreach Programs that address the developmental issues of students, as well as the mental and emotional needs of students. Training of practicum/intern graduate students.

Licensed or license eligible in the state of North Carolina to practice clinical services within area of competence. Continued employment is contingent on acquiring North Carolina License within 12 months of employment.
