General Summary of Position MedStar Health is looking for an Overdose Survivor's Outreach Program Community Recovery Coach to join our team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center! The Overdose Survivor's Outreach Program (OSOP) Community Recovery Coach is an integral part of the SBIRT team that is designated to conduct outreach and engagement to survivors of an opioid overdose after discharge and referral from the emergency department. Provides non-clinical services intended to aid patients in establishing recovery and reducing the risk associated with a subsequent overdose. Assists in completing referrals to recovery support and substance use treatment services and develops service plans to promote successful linkage to referred services. Primarily provides services in the community but may also meet patients in the Emergency Department to assure successful continuity in care.
