Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Merritt Island, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Maintenance Technician supports operations through responsive, effective repairs and improvements to automated manufacturing equipment, preventing downtime, and conducting preventative maintenance.
  • The technician will also monitor, maintain, and repair various building systems.
  • The technician will report to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on manufacturing and building equipment as assigned.
  • Troubleshooting of electrical, pneumatic, PLCs, robotics, and tooling systems utilized in the production of sophisticated electronic systems.
  • Troubleshooting building electrical systems, compressed air systems, chilled water-based HVAC systems, and other general building facility systems.
  • Assist in the design and construction of special equipment.
  • Responsible for helping maintain a clean and safe work environment and compliance within a Class 100,000 ISO 8 clean room.
  • Works in a safe manner and observes plant safety rules and regulations at all times.
  • Aware of all Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
  • Recommends proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity, and working environment.
  • Know, understand, and comply with Manufacturing Quality policy.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $30-$33.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week (2nd shift)

Length: contract (6 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in managing individual projects on a job site.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in utilizing Building Management Systems.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in general contracting or facilities maintenance.
  • Good understanding of high/low voltage electrical systems.
  • Solid background in pneumatic, PLCs, and robotics.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Capable of building prints and schematic drawings.
  • Capable of working on their own with little supervision.
  • Up to date on current Florida building code.
  • Good working knowledge of HVAC systems and specialized condensing/compressor systems.
  • Proficient in the utilization of computers and software, including calibration and preventative maintenance.
  • Experience in EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) systems highly.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Able to carry documents or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Able to lift documents or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
