SUMMARY:

Position is responsible for field, shop repair, inspection, and maintenance of Sanborn fixed-wing aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, overhauls, inspects, maintains, cleans, and returns aircraft to service; performs all related Airframe & Powerplant work as required on company aircraft. The duties and responsibilities of this job are governed by established maintenance schedules, limitations of shop and field maintenance facilities, and Federal Aviation Administration regulations. Also performs annual inspections of a fleet of company single and multi-engine aircraft adhering to Part 91 of the Federal Aviation Regulations to insure operational readiness of all company aircraft.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  1. Analyze, troubleshoot, inspect, and take corrective maintenance actions to insure the operational readiness of all company aircraft systems in meeting department and company goals.
  2. Responsible for scheduling and performing parts installations for company equipment and aircraft and subsequent testing, quality control checks, and staff training of installed equipment or parts.
  3. Read and interpret mechanical diagrams, drawings, and equipment manuals to service, repair, build, modify, and maintain all airframe and powerplant equipment and systems for company aircraft to meet FAA regulatory, vendor, and company standards.
  4. Determine the material resources required for proper use, maintenance, modification, and procurement of equipment and parts inventory needs.
  5. Provide documentation to establish, set, and record aircraft maintenance logs according to standard operating procedures and quality control standards.
  6. Adhere and follow health and safety procedures regarding proper equipment use and insure staff adherence to established procedures pertaining to aircraft maintenance processes.
  7. Prepare and maintain necessary individual aircraft reports as needed.
  8. Assist with the revision and quality control of checking and evaluating the content of internal aircraft maintenance procedures and the flight operations manual to reflect operational readiness, content changes, and for proper training purposes involving maintenance items.
  9. Operate effectively in an environment with occasional changes in schedules, routines and practices, requiring some adaptation. Must handle change constructively.
  10. Maintain a high level of integrity in communication both verbally and in writing, with internal staff and external customers, vendors, managers, and regulatory officials.
  11. Be available as "on-call" resource for the flight operations department during assigned periods.
  12. Maintain high awareness of fiscal responsibilities associated with the operation of the function, recognizing this is secondary to ensuring the highest level of flight crew safety and proficiency.
  13. Attend industry training as appropriate.
  14. Travel as needed to assess, and complete repairs where field maintenance situation require.
  15. Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess valid driver's license to use rental or company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.

Airframe & Powerplant Licensure required.

Inspection Authorization Authority required.

EDUCATION

Minimum High School diploma. Associates degree or higher preferred in an engineering or similar related field.

EXPERIENCE

5 years A&P Mechanic experience.

3 years turbine, turbo-prop experience.

Aero-Commander type aircraft experience required.

TPE331 engine experience required.

Must have direct technical knowledge of company aircraft fleet and proper maintenance standards along with knowledge of occupational hazards and appropriate safety measures. Prior experience demonstrated working with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) to perform and document aircraft maintenance and repair procedures. Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a changing environment. Demonstrated excellent mechanical aptitude with a focus on attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality required.

Pay Range: $27.00 - $40.00 hourly
