The Role

The Lending Practice of our Banking and Financial Services Consulting Group is looking for Senior Consultant to join our journey.

The position holder will work closely with one of consulting clients which is a Global Banking and Financial Services Organization that provides lending/ mortgage services.

We're looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant's industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities

  • As part of our Management Consulting practice, serve as a Senior Consultant on a large-scale project for an end-client
  • Manage and collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for app development projects.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria using JIRA
  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of user feedback and data to drive product improvement and feature prioritization.
  • Provide ongoing support to the development team by clarifying requirements and providing guidance on user stories.
  • Collaborate with other analysts, product owners, technology specialists in a multi-vendor environment to work towards issue resolution
  • Assist in developing and managing product roadmap, driving prioritization of features while balancing customer and business impacts
  • Leverage data to understand user behavior and assist in product roadmap revision
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationship with all stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in consumer lending and mortgage loan origination, within banking and financial services industry including mortgage sector
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications preferred, but not mandatory
  • Proven experience in playing an advisor role and as a Business Analyst in operational app development projects, with expertise in utilizing tools like JIRA for project management.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results within project deadlines
  • Agile Product Owner/Business Analysis experience in lending Domain, specifically loan origination is required for this role
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and white space
  • Ability to travel when needed for a project

Work Authorization

  • Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $105,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
