The Role

Our Enterprise process, Human capital management group is looking for a Workday Senior Consultant to join our journey. We're looking for someone who has solid understanding of Workday (Workday Time Tracking Certification, OR Workday Absence Certification).

We're looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant's industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities

  • Based on experience, support or own and manage one or more project workstream(s), including deliverables, while adhering to budget, timelines, and client engagement guidelines;
  • Partner with clients and project stakeholders and apply technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; this may include leading and managing small solutioning teams to accomplish the above
  • Elevate the Cognizant brand from mere solution vendor to business-focused transformation partner, based on earning the trust and confidence of clients;
  • Ensure accurate understanding of a client's business challenges and their optimum alignment to engagements delivering Cognizant solutions;
  • Capitalize on successful project outcomes in pursuit of further client business partnering and involvement with the client's development of strategic digital transformation roadmaps;
  • Collaborate with and influence Cognizant project resources (e.g., service lines, SBUs, on/offshore delivery teams) and Partners on behalf of project goals, often-changing client needs, and ultimately client delight;
  • Leverage specific engagement solutions as marketable Cognizant solution offerings;
  • Develop practice capabilities and brand recognition by exercising thought leadership, establishing a consultative presence within Cognizant and the wider consulting community, and participating in professional organizations;
  • Participate in PeopleCare activities; Mentor and support less experienced Consultants for the benefit of the practice.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years working in technology, consulting, professional services, or solution development within Workday
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or technical discipline; work-in-progress on a Masters or MBA
  • Broad understanding of core business processes, technology challenges, and technical/business solutions associated with an industry
  • Workday Pro certifications preferred
  • Experience implementing Workday configurations for customers of all sizes, of increasing complexity levels
  • Experience in gathering requirements, design, prototype, and testing of Workday solutions according to customer requirements
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and customer collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously for the client, for Cognizant
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with clients and co-workers in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust
  • Good problem solver with ability to consider alternative and diverse perspectives customer expectations

Work Authorization

  • Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,450 - 129,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
