JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Altoona is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant to provide key administrative duties in the Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (SCEE).
The position will have responsibility for supporting the Sheetz Fellows experience, an academic program designed to invigorate students' education by providing them with mentoring opportunities, academic challenges, and resources for those students with an entrepreneurial mindset. In addition, the position will provide all administrative support for 25 faculty covering 3 degree programs.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Sheetz Fellows Program: arrangement of travel (flight and bus); oversight and planning of the RSVP induction ceremony; creation and distribution of the induction letter; and tracking fellows programs through to graduation to provide a graduation certificate for the program.

  • Oversight of all SCEE building operations, including but not limited to ensuring daily access to the building, entering and tracking work orders for all building maintenance, and managing all room scheduling and approvals

  • General office support and reception duties for the SCEE building will include greeting guests and students, answering all phone calls to the building directing calls to appropriate parties, and ordering supplies for all faculty and staff in the SCEE building (approximately 25 faculty and 5 staff).

  • Administrative support for all faculty and staff in the building, which includes setting up LaunchBox triage meetings, taking notes and sending out follow-up action items; managing calendar for LaunchBox team and leadership; and facilitating check requests from all members of LaunchBox grants for payments to external parties.

Education:

  • Minimum Education, Associate's Degree and Minimum Experience, 4+ Years of relevant experience and Equivalency, Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$42,100.00 - $61,000.00
