Overview
Nakupuna Consulting is seeking an Administrative Analyst (Mid-Level PMO Analyst III) to support NAVSEA 04 (Industrial Operations). This individual will provide direct support to NAVSEA 04's mission of getting ships to sea and keeping them ready.
Responsibilities
The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this position. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Support the Program Manager and NAVSEA 04:
Communicates effectively, delivers high quality documentation free from errors, attention to detail, good writer, experience working with senior leaders;
- Prepare, produce, provide briefings and presentation materials for leadership;
- Assists with creation and editing of articles, news releases, fact sheets, talking points, and other written content;
- Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to set standards regarding, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology; Reviews and edits material prepared by other writers and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, and content;
- Assist/lead with preparing briefing material for leadership;
- Write, edit, format Fitness Reports (FITREPs);
- Review, format, and route correspondence for signature;
- Inputs new action items in appropriate tracking system & marks complete the reviewed items via Program Office letters; Updates tracking systems with information from weekly correspondence update meetings;
- Locate/retrieve/reproduce and distribute documents;
- Prepares draft minutes and/or verbal reports of conferences and meetings;
- Package military and civilian awards; create, format, revise, route, and deliver.
- Coordinate conference room support; duties include operating audio/visual equipment, providing technical assistance and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) for SEA 04 for classified and unclassified meetings.
- Coordinates with department heads to obtain a thorough understanding of the correspondence products and requirements.
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be familiar with and have experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of DoD program management, technical, or business management.
- Experience with drafting/coordinating/presenting papers, briefings, and presentations at the Flag Officer/SES level.
- Experience with military correspondence, Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and Fitness Reports (FITREPs) is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in technical writing or communications, or any technical, or managerial discipline is required; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in technical writing, communications, program management, or business management.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Navy or DoD is preferred.
Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a government-issued CAC and possess a Secret clearance. This position requires 3 days a week on site at the Washington Navy Yard. Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
