Position Summary:



The Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University is seeking to recruit a tenure-track Assistant Professor for the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program (Health Emphasis). The position will begin in September 2025. Candidates in all areas of clinical health psychology will be considered. We are looking for an outstanding candidate with a strong track record of research productivity, external funding, and active training and clinical involvement. Salary is competitive/9 months.



Position Responsibilities:



The position will involve:



  • Developing an independent program of research
  • Mentoring PhD students in doctoral level research
  • Teaching graduate level courses
  • Program administrative responsibilities.



Experience & Educational Background:



The candidate should be licensed or license eligible in New York State as a clinical psychologist. We aim to recruit candidates who demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of diverse and underserved populations.

Salary Range:

Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology is located on Yeshiva University's Resnick Campus in the Bronx, approximately 7 miles north of Manhattan, New York. The Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program is an APA-accredited Doctor of Philosophy Program. Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology offers three APA-accredited doctoral programs: Clinical Psy.D., School-Clinical-Child Psy.D., and Clinical Ph.D. with health emphasis, a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Master of Arts in Special Education. The Max and Celia Parnes Family Psychological and Psychoeducational Services Clinic is the training center of the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and offers low-cost, state-of-the-art mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in the Bronx and the Greater New York City area, especially those who cannot otherwise afford or access these services within the community.
