Job Description

We are currently hiring aQuality Control Technician, BrewinginBreinigsville, PA

The Quality Technician will ensure the integrity of each batch of product and consistent production quality by enforcing good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems, conducting analysis, validating processes, and providing documentation. This position will be essential in monitoring quality programs through regular process checks and short- and long-term projects. Assist in the decision-making process as it relates to the production and release of products.

What You'll Brew:


  • Collect and analyze products at various stages along the production process as well as the finished product to validate the integrity and meet quality standards/specifications.
  • Analysis includes but is not limited to Alcohol, Color, Bu, Sugar, pH, Haze, and VDK Analysis


  • Perform operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on equipment such as Gas Chromatograph, Beer Alcolyzer, pH Meter, Spectrophotometer, Haze Meter, Atomic Absorption, digital gehaltemeter
  • Using equipment and SOP validation processes, determines whether or not a product meets specification to release or hold. Notify Asst. Manager regarding process deviations and/or when production is (or will be) outside of control parameters designated,
  • Participate in effective analysis and management of the "hold" process. Including but not limited to; * Package Beer, Cider, Tea, or Seltzer.* Incoming raw materials unsuitable for process product production: Participation in Sensory Analysis. Including participating in panels, training, tetrad testing, and tasting samples from each new product introduced to the line.
  • Proactively participates in Continuous Improvement projects. Makes recommendations for improved processes.
  • Accurately conduct and document daily and monthly audits and processes concerning GMPs and HACCP plan. Enforce and follow all brewery and food safety standards. Shut down processes that do not comply with BBC GMPs and notify the proper parties.
  • Ensure quality standards are met. Including, but not limited to, Package release cellar analysis, Fermentation analysis,* raw materials.
  • Analyze trials or product development and share the findings with stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
  • Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
  • Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
  • Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms
  • Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)
  • Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
  • Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perception Working Conditions
  • There is frequent exposure production environments:
  • Subject to loud and constant noise * Non-environmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold
  • Operating environment is complex and densely populated with production equipment and forklifts that necessitates high situational awareness
  • Work overtime as needed which may require 12-hour days, weekends, and holidays completed


Level 9

In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe pay rate for this role if hired is $22.40 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Must be proficient with computers and automated equipment to input and interpret data as required.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and QI Analyst
  • Proven mechanical aptitude, demonstrated by work, hobby, or vocation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP thru work experience
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory and production safety practices and procedures.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed workforce successfully


  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • 3+years general work experience in a production facility or industrial setting
  • Knowledge of basic Statistical Process Control (SPC).
