Job Description

RRD has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer who will have a strong focus on SCCM!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding business and technical requirements to develop specific design specifications for operation tasks or infrastructure systems focusing on SCCM. The scope of these tasks will include infrastructure, hardware, software systems and middleware with the objective of seamless integration.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with the different business units to develop the engineering design to support the business and operational requirements in one or more of the following areas: SCCM, Active Directory Services, Citrix, End User Computing, or System Monitoring.
  • Engineer solutions for new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Configure hardware and software for the corporate and production infrastructures.
  • Perform maintenance and release upgrades on a timely basis.
  • Implement security hardening measures on hardware installations.
  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Resolve routine problems independently. Apply technical abilities to recognize, research, isolate, and resolve basic hardware and software problems.
  • Provides general diagnoses and solutions to system and/or network problems.
  • Provides support to local and remote end-users by taking the necessary steps to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
  • Handles general upgrades and troubleshoots various hardware platforms as it relates to Domain Services, Citrix Technologies, and End User Computing.
  • Participates in enterprise-wide software rollouts.
  • Keeps technical management informed about progress, problems, and activities.
  • Keeps peers informed about modifications that might affect them.
  • Works directly with the manager to identify key areas for improvement to align department objectives with overall infrastructure objectives
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or discipline related to functional work or role with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task various initiatives and activities.
  • Consistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance.
  • Apply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routine.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be a team player and looking to gain experience in numerous technologies
  • Required previous experience with the technologies listed below:
  1. Active Directory
  2. SCCM
  3. Citrix (Xenapp, Xendesktop, VDI)
  4. DNS
  5. Group Policy
  • Desired previous experience with 3 or more of the technologies listed below:

  1. Bitlocker
  2. Disaster Recovery
  3. Identity and Access Management
  4. Imaging (Endpoint, Server)
  5. Powershell Scripting
  6. Quest Change Auditor and/or Semperis DSP/ADFR
  7. Security Hardening
  8. Sentinel One
  9. VMware
  10. Workspace One
  11. Zabbix

Additional Information

Thenational pay range for this role is $62,800 to $111,400 / year. The payrange may beslightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
