Job Description
  • Team Leadership & Support: Lead, supervise, and provide ongoing support to Youth Career Advisors and Work-Based Learning staff at multiple locations. Ensure team members have the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to perform their roles effectively.
  • Program Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of youth workforce programs that align with organizational goals and meet the needs of local youth.
  • Staff Development: Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations for staff to ensure high-quality service delivery. Promote professional development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and expertise.
  • Service Coordination: Ensure seamless coordination between Youth Career Advisors and Work-Based Learning staff to deliver integrated services, including career guidance, education planning, job readiness training, internships, and work-based learning opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators related to youth program outcomes, including job placements, retention rates, and educational achievements. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on program performance.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and employers to build partnerships that enhance work-based learning opportunities and career pathways for youth.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure program compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as funder requirements. Maintain accurate records and oversee timely submission of required reports.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Workforce Solutions at community meetings, events, and youth-focused initiatives to raise awareness of available services and promote partnerships that benefit youth programs.
  • Case Management Support: Provide oversight and support to the Youth Career Advisors in managing individual youth cases, ensuring that youth receive the appropriate services, follow-up, and mentorship needed for their career success.
  • Work-Based Learning Program Oversight: Supervise the development and implementation of work-based learning opportunities, including internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing programs. Ensure these initiatives provide valuable experiences and career preparation for youth participants.
  • Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in workforce development, youth services, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of youth workforce development programs, including education and employment pathways, work-based learning, and career readiness.
  • Experience managing staff across multiple locations and providing remote support when necessary.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of federal and state workforce programs and regulations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with case management and reporting tools.
  • This position requires travel between multiple office locations to provide hands-on support to staff.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required, depending on program events and staff needs.
