Job Summary

A results-driven Growth Marketer to lead the strategy and execution of our direct-to-consumer (D2C) marketing efforts for Current Backyard. This role is critical in driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital marketing, data analytics, and consumer behavior, with a proven track record of scaling D2C brands. Location: US/Remote

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Growth Strategies: 25%



  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive growth marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Identify and optimize key growth levers across various channels, including digital, social media, content marketing, SEO, and paid advertising.


Data-Driven Decision Making: 20%



  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources to inform marketing strategies and optimize campaign performance.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of growth initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as needed.


Customer Acquisition and Retention: 25%



  • Design and implement customer acquisition strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Develop and execute retention programs to increase customer lifetime value and reduce churn.


Cross-Functional Collaboration: 10%



  • Work closely with product, sales, and customer success teams to align growth marketing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with the creative and content teams to develop compelling marketing materials that resonate with target audiences.


Team Leadership and Development: 10%



  • Provides guidance and support to collaborators and team members to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the marketing team.


Budget Management: 10%



  • Manage the growth marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.

Qualification Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

Experience: 7+ years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or a related role with a proven track record of scaling and driving growth for D2C brands; at least 3 years in a leadership position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful growth marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and analytics platforms.
