Position Highlights |
The Physics Department wishes to add a position that will serve partially as front office support for day-to-day operations, faculty support, internal/external communications needs, and special event coordination. The position will also work under the direction of the Dept's Director of Undergraduate Studies in the capacity of Undergraduate Program Coordinator. Duties & Responsibilities |
Undergraduate Coordinator
- Course Scheduling, RCS requests, textbook adoption
- Undergraduate course administration
- Compile analytics/data at request
- Work with Senior Academic Advisor
General Dept Operations Support
- Front Office, point of contact for undergrads, grads, staff, and faculty, other campus units
- Supervise front office students
- Dept supply ordering, inventory
- Graphic design, dept bulletin boards
- Conference room reservations
- Facility maintenance report, Campus Security Authority (CAS)
- Other dept admin support as needed
Events & Activities
- Event coordination, including weekly events
- Community building activities
Communication/Outreach
- Physics social media/communications
- Events announcements
Personnel/Visitor Support
- Logistics for Visitor/faculty hire
- Onboarding for new personnel (logistics)
- Faculty support
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications and office software (i.e. Word, Excel)
- Organization and time management skills, ability to multitask at various times
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/carry/move items (25 lbs.) that are pertinent events held and/or daily office operations.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
