Facilities Assistant

General Characteristics:
The Facilities Assistant provides support for the Office Support Services Leader and Regional Office Administrator with a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Light building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, water filters, cleaning out ice machines and unclogging mild sink clogs.
  • Assist with the coordination of building repairs and maintenance through outside vendors.
  • Ordering and picking up supplies.
  • Maintaining supplies in print room, supply room and coffee areas.
  • Package and mail pick-up and delivery within and between Central Arkansas Garver office buildings.
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down to support various office events.
  • Assist with keeping office vehicles maintained and other fleet related logistical items.
  • Aiding in coordination of large deliveries to the building.
  • Out of State, overnight travel is necessary to deliver fleet vehicles to other Garver offices.
  • Will be required to obtain rental vehicles for in state and out of state travel.


Education/Professional Experience


  • High School diploma


Requirements


  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Can climb a ladder and perform light overhead work.
  • Must be able to complete all duties listed in the job description.


Communication Skills


  • Has basic oral and written communication skills.
  • Can interact with staff, vendors and the public in a professional manner.


Technical Skills


  • General computer skills, typing, email, internet.
  • Basic office equipment, (phones, copier, scanner).
  • Time management, organizational and multi-tasking.
