Campus Facilities Management (CFM), Plant Operations Job Description
As a UMKC employee within the Boiler Maintenance Operator trade, you will perform skilled work primarily involving maintenance, repair, and operation of boilers and other equipment related to heating and cooling.
There is never a dull, typical day on campus as we have a wide variety of buildings that range from over 100 years old to just under 2 years old, and some of our most iconic buildings have great history in Kansas City, for example Scofield Hall. Key Responsibilities:
Shift
Saturday to Wednesday, 8:00am to 4:00pm (off Thursday and Friday) Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent; demonstrated skills may offset this requirement.
Boiler Fireman's license or equivalent experience to obtain the license within twelve (12) months is required.
(Six years of experience in this area normally required to maintain a city license).
Knowledge of heating boilers with ability to operate boilers and associated equipment.
Good physical health and physical coordination. Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience operating and maintaining HVAC systems and Building Management Systems. Anticipated Hiring Range
Commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
