Executive Position Summary
The Director of Underground Integrated Operations Const & Maint provides executive leadership to the Integrated Underground Construction & Maintenance organization, including downtown network, underground military base infrastructure, underground cable exits, and all commercial & residential underground service (both three-phase and single-phase) construction and maintenance functions. Including the determination of priorities and ensuring projects are constructed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner consistent with the customer's schedule and CPS Energy's policies and standards. This role is responsible for achieving high levels of performance by staff, fostering a positive "one-team" culture, and effective partnerships with Union Teams. They will provide oversight and management of strategies in Underground Integrated Operations Const & Maint, which includes benchmarking, safety metrics, fleet, headcount planning, and budgets; and contribute to the overall vision, direction, and success of CPS Energy's strategic objectives through normal, emergency, and disaster recovery events, impacting the CPS Energy Overhead Electric Distribution system without sacrificing safety or financial responsibilities. The ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, business-related events, and construction sites in normal and inclement weather is essential to the position. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Extensive experienceand knowledgein designing, operating, constructing, or maintaining electric distribution systems.
Comprehensive experience in the construction and operations of electrical secondary network and URD power systems.
Knowledge of design and construction standards in electric power systems.
Proven leadership abilities.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency by delivering on time accurate results.
Ability to translate business objectives into strategic/tactical processes.
Process management experience with a focus on improvement and customer satisfaction.
Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with other areas to achieve goals and objectives.
Ability to communicate effectively and develop successful long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders with the highest degree of professionalism, clarity, and diplomacy. Preferred Qualifications

Work is performed primarily indoors but can include outdoors. Operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Employee may potentially be exposed to hazardous chemicals, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather, noisy and dusty environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events. After hours work may be required. Physical Demands
