Account Manager, Customer Development

This role is within our rapidly growing Customer Development team at Mimecast, a high-velocity sales environment that handles a key segment of the market where our solutions resonate strongly. We are seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented individual with strong sales skills and a proven track record in generating new business. Knowledge of the corporate technology stack and cloud computing will be beneficial in this role.

What You'll Do

  • Achieve upsell revenue targets (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing accounts.
  • Develop and execute account and sales activity plans.
  • Drive incremental revenue by selling new technology to current customers.
  • Manage reporting of KPIs and CRM housekeeping.
  • Follow and implement sales methodologies and processes.
  • Provide management with activity reports and relevant information.
  • Collaborate with other company functions to support business growth.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

What You'll Need

  • IT sales experience (Email/Messaging/Security/Storage preferred but not essential).
  • Proven track record in achieving new business sales targets.
  • Experience in both direct and indirect sales roles.
  • Understanding of corporate IT teams and their buying processes.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Self-starter with dynamic, confident presentation skills.
  • Ability to critically assess personal and team performance.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Team player with a tenacious approach.
  • Comfortable in a high-performance, dynamic environment.
