Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

As a Production Supervisor, you will coordinate activities of the production department in processing materials or manufacturing products. Do you want to lead a team of production associates? You will train employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraise performance; and resolve problems! You will report to the Production Manager and sit at our Memphis Plant.

This is a second shift position: 1:30pm - 10:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production lines to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Manage labor and line density to achieve financial goals of line, ensuring daily customer production demands are met and communicated to customers and all dispositions are done with product for a daily/shift basis.
• Prepare and maintain all production reports to Production Manager
• Analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational production problems and correct, verifying that all MITS transactions are accurate.
• Maintain visual production tracker boards and reviews daily with team members
• Maintain safe work environment; Ensure compliance with OSHA and Environmental regulations. Confer with department heads concerning such problems as accident rates, and recommends and implements measures to improve safety records. Conduct all necessary safety, environmental, WWT, and 5(S) audits.
• Train, evaluate, and coordinate with Human Resources on continuous development of 20-25 direct reports. Perform performance reviews and provide feedback to team members; resolve personnel grievances and recommend corrective actions; determine staffing requirements, work procedures and duty assignments.
• Understand the environmental impacts of work activities and the consequences of departing from specified work instructions

Qualifications

• 4 or more years of manufacturing or production experience is required.
• An Associate's degree or other higher education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
