The Center for the Study of the Age of Jefferson at the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the history of Early America.All researchers working on books on colonial North America, the American Revolution, and the Early Republic are encouraged to apply. The area of specialization is open. This fellowship is intended to support junior and mid-career scholars completing their first or second book project. Postdoctoral Research Associates will participate in the robust scholarly community of Early American historians at the University of Virginia. They will also participate in a manuscript workshop on their work, to be hosted by the Center for the Study of the Age of Jefferson in conjunction with the University of Virginia Press. Scholars will be required to teach at least one class during the course of their fellowship. This is a one-year appointment; however, the appointment may be renewed for an additional two years, at one-year increments, contingent upon funding and satisfactory performance.
