Description

What The Role Is

Under general supervision, the Mortgage Loan Processor II is to ensure the timely and accurate packaging for submission to underwriting of all mortgage loans originated by Mortgage Loan Officers.

How You Will Make An Impact



  • Review the mortgage loan application file and assist with input and updating of information in LOS.
  • Request and/or collect required documentation from borrower(s) or others necessary to process credit file.
  • Validate the documents received for each file, verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, verified and complies with regulatory, agency and company policies and guidelines.
  • Collect fees from borrower(s) as required at the appropriate time, i.e. credit report fee, appraisal fee, etc.
  • Order credit report, appraisal, title, homeowners and flood insurance or other documents and services, as applicable.
  • Proactively communicate file status to borrower(s), Mortgage Loan Officer, and other staff as required to ensure excellent customer service and maintain current and accurate pipeline.
  • Prepare and submit complete file to Underwriting for credit decision in timely manner to ensure closing date is met.
  • Assist with obtaining any necessary closing conditions and coordinating the loan closing.
  • Manage a pipeline of loans to meet company standards for quantity, quality, and best practice guidelines.
  • Cancel file as necessary.



Who You Are



  • Knowledge and experience using a mortgage LOS, MS Word, Excel and email. Imaging experience a plus.
  • Ability to meet strict time deadlines and work independently.
  • Detail oriented and able to follow set guidelines.
  • Knowledge of automated underwriting and agency guidelines including but not limited to FNMA, FHA, VA and USDA.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone.
  • Minimum 1 year processing and/or mortgage experience required.
