Duration: Contract Shift Timing: Day Job Description: The Lab Tech position will support the laboratory and chemists performing laboratory analyses. The Lab Tech will be responsible for sample handling, sample media preparation, sample extraction, solution preparation, and other duties relevant to production laboratory operations. Required Qualification: For this assignment, candidates referred should possess the following background: Required Education: A minimum of twenty-four (24) semester units (36 quarter units) in chemistry is required which must include the following courses: general chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical methods, and the applicable laboratory sections. Courses in instrumentation, mathematics (at the calculus level), statistics and introduction to data processing are desirable. The most competitive candidates will also have a bachelor's degree in chemistry or similar field. Required Experience: Laboratory experience is highly desired. Candidates with the most directly-related or transferable experience will be given highest consideration.
