SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES It is the responsibility of the IT Asset Management Specialist to take ownership of managing any requests that are assigned to the ITAM team via ServiceNow. This role involves fulfilling requests, ensuring accuracy of assets are maintained in the Configuration Management Database, and adhering to processes set forth within the team. In addition, this role is responsible for overseeing any inventory control of IT Assets including, but not limited to mobile devices, computers, printers, network equipment, and software. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Working with different types of ITAM Requests such as:
    • New Hire Requests, BAU Requests, Inactive Employees Requests
  • Ensure CMDB is updated accordingly
  • Review all tasks/tickets coming into the Asset Management queue and assign the accordingly
  • Attend weekly/bi-weekly meetings
  • Assist in end-user communication
  • Inventory control
  • Ensure all equipment is returned upon an employee's departure. For remote employees, ensure all technology trackable assets are shipped back to an Ops Center
  • Received procured technology items and verify accuracy of materials delivered against purchase orders and update the CMDB accordingly
  • Check shipments for damage, overages, shortages, and promptly report/resolve issues
  • Open repair orders with appropriate vendors and shipping repairable assets
  • Handle RMA's with vendors
  • Other duties as deemed necessary
  • Responsible decommissioning of IT equipment

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements
  • Education: High School degree required
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of work experience with procurement processing and inventory management. Experience with Asset Management systems (experience using the Asset Management module in ServiceNow a plus), HAM Pro experience, SAM Pro experience
