Position Overview

Riverside Research is seeking a Domain Awareness Portfolio Manager to oversee successful execution and provide technical oversight on a portfolio of existing and emerging research and development projects in support of the Commercial Innovation Center (CIC). The CIC is built upon a research and development environment designed to evaluate and integrate commercial data, analytics, and related capabilities to accelerate the prototyping and demonstration of innovative, commercially derived solutions to challenging national security missions and problems. As the Domain Awareness Portfolio Manager for the CIC, you will oversee and provide program management on strategic and emerging accounts and serve as the company main point of contact for associated activities and on-contract growth. You will initiate the design, development, execution, and implementation of technology research projects and investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potention innovations and products. You will serve as a solutions architect for incubating new ideas and as a mentor to engineering, software development, and R&D support staff. The Domain Awareness Portfolio Manager will be responsible for leading a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team of commercial technology experts in support of multiple DoD/IC innovation organizations.



Responsibilities

    Manage day-to-day contract execution for several R&D projects and maintain project repositories and collaboration sites across several lines of effort
  • Serve as the program lead for key CIC R&D projects and manage project execution to drive growth on new and adjacent contracts
  • Work directly with government clients to serve as a trusted agent and primary focal point and to help translate mission goals into realizable requirements and proposed solutions
  • Communicate cross-functionally with other CIC program portfolios to identify and help implement organizational and operational efficiencies
  • Create and document R&D solutions and technology concepts in the form of presentations, white papers, and proposals for delivery to internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, program management, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience designing, developing, and operationalizing R&D solutions and applications for GEOINT data processing, analytics extraction, tactical ISR, and/or Domain Awareness
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex engineering and R&D programs
  • 5+ years of experience working with commercial satellites, communications, componenet, or GEOINT processing and analytics technologies in support of the defense and intelligence communities
  • Ability to supervise others and lead projects and deliverables within a collaborative and cross-functional environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring customer goals are met satisfactorily

Preferred Requirements:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree
  • Project, Program Management, or PMP certifications and experience
  • Experience with cloud based solutions
  • Experience with advanced algorithm design and implementation in the areas of proliferated SmallSat constellation mission operations and tasking, computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and multi-int fusion


Global Comp

$175,000 - $200,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
