Position Purpose |
The assistant director is responsible for working to advance Dartmouth's fundraising efforts by fostering a culture of donor-focused stewardship and engagement activities among various stakeholders. This role will involve collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to coordinate and respond to communications. Additionally, this position will provide administrative support for key stakeholders in the planning and execution of cross-departmental special projects and activities, including travel and calendar management support. |

* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
* 4-5 years of project management experience in a complex college, university, or other organization is desirable
* Project management experience with multiple simultaneous projects of varying complexity
* Superior organizational, planning, and project management skills
* Able to successfully manage a high-volume workload and competing priorities
* Familiarity with and comfort with learning new software systems
* Able to think strategically and operationally
* Strong attention to detail and able to function independently with minimal oversight
* Acts proactively; takes initiative
* Excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing)
* Able to think strategically and operationally
* Collaborative team player who will pitch in when and where needed to get the job done; excellent interpersonal skills
* High tolerance for ambiguity and changing priorities; flexible

Description |
Serve as primary point of contact for the Vice President's office, facilitating relationships with a variety of key stakeholders, including prospects, donors, and institutional partners. Provides comprehensive travel and calendar management support to Vice President and other key staff in daily operations. Manage and track correspondence from alumni, parents, vendors, and campus partners gathering relevant background information as needed. Exercise independent judgment in responding to inquiries, representing the Vice President and others and collaborating with other Advancement team members when appropriate. |
