Job Summary

The Electrical Engineering Supervisor directs the activities of the engineering function(s) related to electrical engineering design of new products.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical/engineering output and direct management of the electrical engineering team for new product designs.
  • Responsible for alignment between project specifications and product design
  • Engages directly in design activities for projects, including initial concepts, electrical design reviews, and overall system reviews
  • Acts as an engineering liaison with manufacturing to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
  • Provides process and technical guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies and design requirements
  • Provides guidance to the schematic and PCB design and layout standards used to ensure alignment to industry standards
  • Responsible for process development/continuous improvement of the electrical engineering design processes.
  • May lead technical projects, coordinating the cross-functional output of the engineering team, including electrical, software, and mechanical engineering efforts.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years of supervisory experience and 5+ years direct electrical design experience.
  • Experience with "Lean Product Development", "Rapid Learning Cycles", "Design for Six Sigma", or other lean product development systems/methods.
  • Experience as a technical project leader leading multi-discipline development (mechanical, electrical, and software)
  • Experience with multi-axis, coordinated, robotic motion including motors/servo/tuning
  • Experience using Altium for PCB/PCA design

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive high performance teams
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven track record of process implementation and improvement
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, Solidworks

Compensation:

Salary range for this position is: $101,000 to $160,000.

The base salary pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills.
