Job Summary:
As a Sr. Marketing Automation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our company's growth. You will be responsible for designing, building, and executing effective email and marketing automation campaigns within our Marketo platform and related tools. Your work will directly impact the marketing and sales funnel, ensuring the right message is delivered to the right audience at the right time. Your technical expertise in email template design and lifecycle marketing will be essential in creating engaging and impactful campaigns that resonate with local government buyers.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and build multi-step journeys, email templates, and segmentation strategies within Marketo to nurture leads and drive conversions across all funnel stages.
  • Work closely with the demand, design, and product marketing teams to create engaging content and campaigns that align with OpenGov's goals.
  • Partner with customer marketing to build personalized automation streams that align with customer journeys-enhancing customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing operations teams to refine lead nurturing, scoring, and handoff processes.
  • Utilize customer data to create segments and targeted campaigns based on behavioral, demographic, and transactional data.
  • Manage the execution of email campaigns, including segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, template optimization, and performance tracking.
  • Utilize data to identify trends, make recommendations, and continuously improve automation processes.
  • Adhere to email marketing best practices, including CAN-SPAM and CCPA laws, to maintain compliance and deliver effective campaigns.
  • Manage and update Marketo workflows, data integrations, and other platform configurations.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest email marketing trends and technologies to enhance campaign effectiveness.
Requirements and Preferred Experience
  • B.A. required in Advertising, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field of study
  • 4+ years of experience in digital marketing is required. SaaS experience is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data and translate findings to key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with close attention to detail
  • Effective organizational skills to manage simultaneous workstreams, vendors, and projects on deadline
  • Expert in end-to-end campaign strategy, development, execution, and measurement
  • Innovative out-of-the-box thinker. You know the playbook, but you're not limited by it
  • Must be a power user of Marketo or similar marketing automation tools
  • Additional desirable experience includes Excel proficiency, basic HTML capabilities, copywriting skills, and managing 3rd party contractors, designers, writers, and agencies
On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance
The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
