Summary:

The Sr. Software Engineer shall support emerging technologies, and conduct engineering and analysis studies to enhance RPA-SOC system, infrastructure, and mission.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops, researches, designs, implements, tests, and evaluates software and systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, that enable computers to perform their applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
  • Formulates and designs software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Consults with customer concerning maintenance of software system.
  • Coordinates installation of software system.
  • Support the acquisition of new software and review data for trend analysis that may indicate failing systems or un-optimized configurations
  • Support new software requirements to include testing and installation
  • Provide updates and programming services for unique software requirements developed for this program
  • Published all changes, upgrades, or reconfiguration within 3 days of effective change
  • Submit test plan(s) for software integration, upgrade and/or configuration changes
  • Supports emerging technologies and conduct engineering and analysis studies to enhance RPA-SOC system, infrastructure, and mission
  • Submits Technical Report - Study/Services IAW CDRL A004
  • Conducts engineering, scientific analysis, and test/evaluation studies and practical experiments to facilitate the development and improvement of software
  • Submits Engineering and Analysis Scientific Study Reports IAW CDRL A007
  • Coordinates with third party software vendors for installation on Government network systems
  • Maintains a functional library of current software documentation

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum Four (4) Years of programming experience
  • DoDM 8140.03 & DAFMAN 17-1305 IA Certification
  • TS//SCI with SPR/SAR access, DCID 6/4 eligible with current SSBI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Squadron Operations Cell (SOC) experience preferred
