Associate Director Market Access for Customer Engagement

The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director Market Access for Customer Engagement are to:

  • Develop and deploy Market Access training to the Customer Engagement Teams with strong facilitation and platform skills through various avenues including (but not limited to) live classroom training, workshops, virtual sessions, national/area meetings, and teleconference while utilizing a learning environment enriched with adult learning principles to enable optimal learning retention and application;
  • Complete timely updates to course materials, acting as a subject matter expert (SME), to reflect not only changes in the franchise and selling environments, but to ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and business conduct standards. Be a conduit for timely review of material through our PRT/LMS process;
  • Partner with Director, L&D colleagues, Customer Engagement (CE) and Market Access leadership to develop comprehensive on-boarding and advanced learning curricula through the use of state-of-the-art tools including technology and materials to meet franchise market access training and client needs; including but not limited to - new product launch materials, new hire materials, leader guides, and train the trainer materials;
  • Collaborate across L&D ensuring alignment within and beyond the aligned customer engagement team;
  • Work with the Director to complete timely training needs assessment activities, proposing and developing solutions to fill current and potential future learning and development gaps;
  • Willingness to collaborate cross functionally with other ADs and SMEs within and beyond the L&D department to support a One Bayer mindset;
  • Provide timely updates and actionable evaluations and feedback to trainees, their direct manager, and any additional appropriate clients and stakeholders;
  • Manage projects and resources ensuring vendors meet timelines and develop appropriate, effective, and compliant materials and resources;
  • Stay abreast of learning and development best practices and current trends in pharmaceutical, device, and bioscience industries, utilizing current advances in technology;
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the latest market access information and relevant clinical data related to Bayer Pharmaceutical products to optimize the delivery and relevance of training materials and programs.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director Market Access for Customer Engagement, are to:

  • Design, develop and deploy market access training for CE teams through strong facilitation and platform skills delivered using asynchronous and synchronous learning approaches:
  • Facilitate training via live classroom training and/or workshops;
  • Virtual classroom training and/or workshops;
  • Virtual meetings;
  • NBM/POA meetings; teleconferences.
  • Utilize a learning environment enriched with adult learning principles to enable optimal learning application, execution, and retention;
  • Complete innovative and timely updates to course materials, act as a subject matter expert (SME), to reflect changes in the sales and market access landscape, ensuring absolute compliance with all legal, regulatory and business conduct standards;
  • Be a conduit for timely review of new and existing material through our Professional Review Team (PRT) and Legal Medical Regulatory (LMR) process;
  • Partner with Director, TA Learning and Development (L&D) colleagues, Market Access colleagues, and appropriate Sales/Marketing leadership to develop comprehensive foundational, elevated, and immersive learning curricula through use of state-of the art tools including AI, technology and materials to meet sales, market access and marketing stakeholders and field-based client needs, including (but not limited to)
  • Creation and implementation of Market Access for Sales foundational and advanced curriculum;
  • NBM/POA skill-rich content including workshop materials, leader guides, and train the trainer materials.
  • Work with the Director to propose, develop, and complete timely training needs assessment activities, to fill current and potential future learning and development gaps including but not limited to human skills, product skills, and appropriate market access related skills;
  • Collaborate cross functionally with other ADs and SMEs within and beyond the L&D department to support a One Bayer mindset;
  • Provide timely updates and actionable evaluations and feedback to trainees, their direct report, and any additional appropriate clients and stakeholders;
  • Manage projects and resources, ensuring vendors meet timelines and develop appropriate, effective, and compliant materials and resources;
  • Stay abreast of training and development best practices and current trends in pharmaceutical, device, and bioscience industries, utilizing current advances in technology;
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the latest learning trends through partnership with LTEN, ATD, and other related learning partners and networks;
  • Collaborate with headquarters stakeholders through virtual/live meeting attendance;
  • Collaborate with field stakeholders including but not limited to field rides, regional/area meetings, and POA/NBM sessions in order to assess the needs and impact of our learning curriculum.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with successful pharmaceutical and/or medical device experience or equivalent experience in L&D;
  • Market Access experience;
  • Excellent facilitation, platform, and verbal/written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and communicate seamlessly with all levels;
  • Strong project management experience and ability to prioritize effectively;
  • Self-directed in ambiguous situations;
  • Strong decision-making skills;
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Whippany NJ corporate headquarters and other meetings as needed (minimum of 30%) as this position is residence-based.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LMR/PRT/Content Factory process;
  • 5+ years of industry experience;
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation, along with the capability to partner with procurement;
  • Experience in Oncology.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $ to $. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
