Department:ICE \| TXPSL Kidney Acquist OP CL Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Transplant Financial Coordinator (FC) duties are to evaluate financial coverage for patients being considered for solid organ transplant, including the pre-op and post-op period. The FC will verify insurance benefits, including pharmacy, and obtain pre-authorization for services from third party payers. The FC will also educate patients/family members, and/or care givers in a clinic setting and /or an inpatient setting on the financial requirements of transplant. Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and vast knowledge of solid organ transplant insurance contracts and benefits, including pharmacy, are required to effectively interact with the patient, family members, and/or caregivers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related PLUS three (3) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or revenue cycle related function ORHigh School Diploma/GEDplus seven (7) years of experience in healthcare in a revenue cycle related function.
