Budget Analyst Location Fort Novosel, AL Job Posting No 112540 Start Date ASAP Contract FT Novosel AMS Salary Range DOE Posting Date September 27, 2024 Union No FLSA Status Exempt Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for a Budget Analyst: Position Description: * Organizes and prepares budget reports and monitors spending for assigned airfield/site. * Collaborates with other managers to develop the airfield/site budget. * Reviews managers' budget proposals for completeness, accuracy and compliance with laws and other regulations. * Reviews funding requests for merit. Explains recommendations for funding requests to others. * Assists managers in analyzing proposed plans and suggests alternatives. * Monitors spending. Informs managers of the status and availability of funds. Estimates future financial/funding needs. * Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work flow processes. * Ensures compliance with company policies relating to financial operations. Additional Requirements: * Five years of experience in financial reporting/budget analysis. Government service contract experience desired. * Bachelor Degree in related field required. * Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, above average Excel skills. * Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. * Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude. Physical demands and Environmental Conditions * This classification activity is typically accomplished in an office environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities. Typical physical demands or activities include climbing, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, reaching and walking. This classification is also subject to moving in and about aircraft hangars and/or other work areas as necessary.
