Cape Fox, subsidiary Mountain Point, is seeking a qualified Assistant Project Manager. This candidate will support day-to-day project management, including planning, coordinating, integrating, monitoring, and driving all project activities and milestones per plan; ensuring the maintenance of technical communications and business files; monitoring and reporting schedule variances from plan; appraising impact of variances; recommending and implementing corrective actions; and maintaining client communications. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager for Mountain Point, a construction company. Work will be performed primarily within the Southern United States (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida). General construction work will include building renovations and repairs; new construction; pre-construction services, IT and physical security upgrades; electrical, plumbing and HVAC; and demolition. Civil and utility work will focus on specific electrical and underground water infrastructure (e.g., potable water, storm, sewer) and all associated earth moving services. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling assigned construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. The employee will provide Assistant management of projects, personnel, and clients with focus on project management, personnel management/mentoring, and business development. The Assistant Project Manager provides overall direction to a project or group of projects of considerable size, scope and complexity. The employee ensures the accurate completion of all work products, proper quality control / quality assurance measures are in place consistent with corporate guidelines, and work procedures are performed in a safe manner. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the management and oversight of self-perform projects and work performed by subconsultants and subcontractors. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the overall financial performance relative to project-specific budgets. The employee will ensure the construction schedule and budget are kept in accordance too plan. The Assistant Project Manager will support the management of the Contractor Health and Safety Program (for purposes of this requirement, the Health and Safety Program is equivalent to Safety and Occupational Health Program in EM 385-1-1, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual). Work Environment Primary work will be supporting construction efforts on U.S. Government contracts at military installations. Assistant Project Manager typically work full-time in a variety of settings, predominately offices, facilities or construction sites. The work typically involves some travel and fieldwork, and the employee can be exposed to dangerous or stressful situations. The employee must use safety equipment to minimize the risk of illness or injury. Employee must be able to work with minimal supervision, be flexible, cooperative and take initiative; work well under pressure, plan, be resourceful, and well organized; maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and be polite and professional with the general public; maintain a professional approach towards work and a positive attitude and philosophy consistent with Company standards. |
