Lunchroom Aide

An ESS lunchroom aide plays an integral role in coordination with another lunchroom aide, for monitoring students during their lunch period. This person will be expected to enforce the cafeteria expectations and procedures and will seek assistance from administration as needed. This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time and the ability to build relationships with third, fourth, and fifth grade students in a positive way.


Responsibilities




  • Oversee students during lunch and recess periods, enforcing appropriate student behavior and ensuring a safe and orderly environment
  • Take all reasonable precautions to protect students, facilities, equipment, and materials
  • Immediately report incidents, injuries, and significant behavioral concerns
  • Demonstrate cooperation and flexibility in performing other related duties as assigned by school administration and ESS




Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pennsylvania State Police Clearance for employment
  • Child Abuse Clearance for employment
  • FBI Fingerprinting
  • Tuberculosis Test
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification
  • Act 126/Mandated Reporter training
  • CPR and First Aid Certified preferred
