Description

Position Summary: It will be the function of the Kroc Center Driver to drive The Salvation Army vehicles and to transport members of the Church. This person will also provide transportation as needed for the Corp programs. This position will work 4 hours on Wednesdays and between 4 and 5 on Sundays.

Rate of Pay: $17.55

Qualifications:



  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
  • Must submit a copy of Arizona DMV driving record with fewer than two (2) violations (moving or accident) in last twelve months to be eligible for this position.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be clean, neat, and courteous.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the City and areas to be serviced.
  • Must have knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance.
  • Class C Commercial Driver License preferred.


Responsibilities:



  • Transportation for those who attend Corp programs.
  • Inspection report and mileage log must be maintained and submitted weekly to the Corps Assistant.
  • Provide safe, on-time, and courteous service.
  • Eagerness to learn, understand, implement, and observe all "protecting the Mission" policies and The Salvation Army's internal child safety procedures.
  • Perform other assignments/duties as directed.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate a telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
