Responsibilities

Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is hiring a passionate PRN Licensed Therapist for our childrens Residential Treatment Center! Our 330 -bed comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare Facility is located in beautiful San Antonio, Texas! Our facility provides a nurturing, campus-style environment located on 29 beautiful acres and features experiential options such as a swimming pool, gym, ropes course and more.

We are looking for ca Licensed Therapist that will focus on developing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum for our children at our Facility. This is an awesome opportunity to have an impact in the life of a child.

Qualifications

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong assessment and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and able to meet demands of heavy caseload
  • Ability to maintain patient records and confidentiality
  • Excellent understanding of professional boundaries/relationships with staff and patients
  • Excellent clinical and didactic skills and understanding of group dynamics
  • Must understand the needs of patients aged 3 through 18
  • Demonstrated ability to work on cross functional teams

EDUCATION: Master's degree in Social Work, Masters Degree in Counseling or Psychology

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LMSW, LCSW, LPCA, or LPC.

EXPERIENCE: At least 6 months' work in individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management and discharge planning preferably in an inpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal duties regarding reporting of abuse.
