POSITION SUMMARY
Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking experienced bartenders. Bartenders will be consistently providing exceptional service for all guests visiting, and internal events held at Stratton. The bartender position requires an individual that is a team player, possess agility, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. A bartender will consistently display a friendly demeanor, while providing anticipatory guest service in a fast-paced environment. This is a seasonal role, with full-time hours available. The position will be paid at $8.75/hr + tips.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • To understand and practice the serving of alcoholic beverages in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures; maintain facility cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or situations needing immediate attention
  • Set-up bar: stock beer, wine, glassware etc. as needed
  • Promote and sell products
  • Adhere to sound cash-management procedures
  • Attend all shift and training meetings
  • Daily cash-outs and deposits, as assigned
  • Additional duties as assigned


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 1-year bartending experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment preferred
  • Possesses a proficient knowledge of liquor quality and preparation of alcoholic beverages


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Certified to serve alcohol in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws
  • Must be organized, be able to multitask and be able to make quick independent decisions
  • Ability to remain calm during stressful situations and adapt well to many different situations and changes


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
