The Safety Manager (SM) is responsible for implementing the company's efforts in the following areas: Safety Management Systems, Risk Management and Loss Reductions, Safety Audits, and Safety Training.

The SM reports to the Director of Corporate Safety and works closely with the Assistant Director of Corporate Safety, the Director of Field Operations, Superintendents, Project Executives and Project Managers to assure that the company's safety policies and procedures are implemented.

  • Required Experience

This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in applying safety standards, regulations and procedures as it relates to manuals, audits, reports, checklists, etc. for a general contractor, subcontractor, or related engineering or environmental health and safety consulting firm. This position requires previous experience working within the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, USACE EM385-1-1 Safety & Health Standards, and other federal, state, local or special customer regulations that govern building construction and safety requirements.

The qualified candidate will have received safety-training credentials for OSHA 500 or OSHA 30 and must have Competent Person Training (CPT) in fall protection, confined space, scaffolding and excavation.


  • Preferred Experience

A degree in Safety and Health or related field is preferred. Having an active GSA badge and security clearances is highly desired.

    • Current First Aid & CPR cards
    • Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C)

  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Asbestos Supervisor
    • Lead Supervisor
    • NFPA 70E
