Job Summary:
The Lead Financial Analyst
is responsible for providing financial services related to the preparation and filing of SEC 10-Q and 10-K reports. This role requires expertise in analyzing financial data, interpreting the impact of financial reporting proposals, and supporting regulatory initiatives. The Analyst will assist in creating financial reports, conducting analytical studies, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements.

  • Education:
    • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or related discipline required.
    • CPA or CFA certification preferred.


  • Experience:
    • 10-15 years of experience in finance, accounting, regulatory, or a related field.
    • SEC reporting experience required.
    • Prior experience in Big 4
      or major public accounting firm preferred.


  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, SEC regulations, and corporate finance.
    • Experience in regulatory finance and decision support.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and process improvement skills.





What You'll Be Doing:

Responsibilities:

  • SEC Reporting:
    • Prepare and file SEC 10-Q and 10-K reports.
    • Interpret financial reporting proposals from governing bodies.
    • Provide analytical studies on historical, forecast, and pro-forma financial data.


  • Financial Data Reporting:
    • Develop and format financial data reports for internal and external customers.
    • Identify and research financial reporting issues and assist with the adoption of new reporting requirements.


  • Regulatory Support:
    • Support regulatory initiatives by gathering data and preparing regulatory schedules.
    • Assist in analyzing regulatory documents and preparing pro-forma calculations and testimony.


  • Business Acumen:
    • Demonstrate an understanding of financial statements, key business metrics, and economic/industry data as they relate to job responsibilities.
    • Collaboratively develop financial solutions with corporate and business units.


  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and enhance organizational efficiency.
    • Document work accurately to ensure transparency and quality control.




Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

CPA preferred
SEC Reporting experience
Prior Big 4 or major public accounting firm experience preferred
