Description: NSI requires a Logistics Manager Specialist (Maintenance SME) to support Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic CNAL Cost and Demand Management Group (CDM) to provide analytical based maintenance and supply analysis and recommendations to improve demand, cost and readiness outcomes for CNAL forces. Position will provide maintenance subject matter expertise to identify root causes for demand spikes in AVDLRs impacting readiness outcomes and develop recommendations for performance improvement to include the following responsibilities:

  • Identify potential initiatives for the CDM team via data analysis of maintenance data. (O-level)
  • Conduct root cause analyses by coordinating with stakeholders (i.e., O-level NAVSUP WSS, etc.).
  • Develop corrective actions and identify corrective action owners.
  • Develop briefing materials for CDM and MOC leadership on findings.
  • Coordinate corrective action execution/implementation with corrective action owners when appropriate.
  • Monitor initiative performance and revise corrective actions when necessary.
  • Develop strategic communications in coordination with other workstreams to disseminate findings to the fleet.
  • Support ad-hoc maintenance analyses and development of leadership briefing materials such as NFF, ICRL variability, etc.
  • Analyze and report on government, regulatory, and industry reforms impacting maintenance operations for streamlining NAE operations.
  • Propose maintenance metrics to track initiative performance.
  • Identify opportunities for additional dashboards to enhance decision-making and streamline internal operations.
  • Analyze NAE systems and infrastructure for gaps in maintenance data.


Location: Norfolk, VA/Oceana, VA (Hybrid position-75%on-site, 25% home)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related business di

An additional 6 years of Navy logistics/logistics AIS Management experience may be substituted for a BS degree.

Experience: Minimum10 years direct Naval aviation maintenance experience (i.e., F/A-18, E-2D, P-8A, H-60, MV-22, C-2, MH-53) with the Navy at the organizational/intermediate level.

Desired Skills:

* Strong communication skills and leadership briefing experience

* Strong critical thinking/problem solving ability

* Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

* 2+ years data analysis experience

* Experience with Deckplate, NALCOMIS, OneTouch, NATEC Tech Data, ASMRR, and CMP

* Experience with utilizing the Performance to Plan (P2P) methodology

* Experience with analyzing relevant government, regulatory, and industry reforms

* Experience with Tableau and Decision Lense

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen. Passport is required.
