Overview

DUTIES:

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship for a team of network engineers ranging in skill from junior to senior level based on management direction. Be responsible for Palo Alto best practice solution designs, and installations/configurations. Serve as technical lead on security projects. Work primarily with Palo Alto and to a lesser degree with Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint firewalls, and Juniper security products for migrations. Work on SSLVPN and IPC SEC products from Palo Alto, Juniper, and other manufacturers. Be responsible for staging customer equipment in facilities or remote locations. Work with Account team as design support and as SME when needed. Work with prime SE on network designs. Assist in determining specific customer network requirements. Assist in developing specific network, security, and wireless solutions. Assist in developing detailed implementation plans. Conduct architecture chalk talks and design concepts. Maintain Palo Alto certifications. Utilize project-based billable utilization and team leadership. Deploy, migrate, and document post-sales engagement with customers based on ConvergeOne best practices. Assist in the delivery of support and services to customer expectations as proposed. Participate in the design, implementation, and administration of Cisco infrastructure and related solutions. Troubleshoot problems, including security-related issues (i.e., firewalls, IPS, and understanding of common protocols in security such as IPSec, SSL, TLS, HTTP(s), and FTP), routing and switching, protocol problems, and performance issues across a distributed segmented network infrastructure with multiple security zones. Create As-Built Visio diagrams and technical write up for deployed solutions. Assist and mentor team in developing specific network, security, and wireless solutions, as well as detailed implementation plans. Facilitate and conduct product demonstrations, webinars, and presentations to customers. Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve integration issues with Sales Engineers. Assist the sales team with pre-sales and post-sales opportunities. Collaborate with Cisco SEs and internal teams to design solutions and improve them based on field results.



Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related technical field required. Five years of experience required in a field support, professional services, or a technical support position, including any experience with: Palo Alto; Alto Traps, Cortex XDR, Palo Alto Global Protect, Network services, Cortex Data Lake, Cortex SOAR, Prisma SaaS, and Prisma Cloud; Prisma Access and Prisma SD-WAN; security protocols; Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocols (i.e. VRRP, IST MLT/SMLT/LAG, BGP, OSPF); working with customers in developing network designs and working as the technical lead for customer projects; automation of configurations; Linux and Mac; account management; high performance data center solutions, network infrastructure LAN/WAN network security, and enterprise wireless infrastructures; Cisco Routers (ISR GEN1/2), Switches (NEXUS and Catalyst Line), and Security Appliance (FTD, ASA, ISE, IPS, Prime MARS, NAC); VPN IPSec/SSL solutions and hands-on deployment; AMP for endpoints, Umbrella, Stealthwatch, Firepower, and hands-on enterprise deployment; technical configurations (Cisco IOS, NXOS); monitoring, alerting, and management tools (i.e., Ethereal, Solarwinds, Orion Network Monitor, hp OpenView); hands on wired/wireless ISE deployments, ASA, Firepower, AMP, Prime Infrastructure, Security posture assessment, and Security Policy generation; Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K, and 1K; and troubleshooting experience on Tier4 issues (i.e. Cisco TAC). 30% national travel required. May work remotely from any U.S. location.
