Location: Flint, MI 48503

Duration: 6 Months.

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr. on W2.

Job Summary:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Workforce Development, the Program Assistant is responsible for assisting administrative, support staff, program coordinators, and instructors in the office, classroom, and other identified areas. Responsibilities also include supporting various projects from inception to completion, and clerical support which facilitates the effective and efficient operation of program activities as it pertains to project students enrollment, participation, and success. Provides continuity between various programs and locations by assisting in ensuring the execution of the department's mission.


Job Duties:

  • Assists administrative and support staff with office related duties.
  • Assists department by supporting various initiatives and efforts.
  • Maintains and processes supplies, equipment, and event/activity needs for various programs.
  • Resmottponsible for monthly reporting for various programs.
  • Processes and delivers supplies orders for various programs.
  • Administers/Proctors assessments for Workforce Development programs.
  • Assists with follow up services to program participants.
  • Assists with student recruitment, intake, and orientation.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Demonstrated competency in oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to utilize computers for project management purposes including word processing, spreadsheet construction and database management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with program participants, staff, and the general public.
  • Be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously with high quality and strong customer oriented services.
  • Must be reliable and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
