Summary/Objective:

The Manufacturing Supervisor position is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma
  2. Candidate has participated in the Lippert Components "LIT" program and received very positive reports from all areas.
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, 1-3 years.
  4. MRP experience, 1-2 years
  5. Possess good leaderships skills, 3-5 years
  6. Possess conflict resolution skills, 4-6 years
  7. Project Management, 5+ years
  8. Critical Thinking and problem-solving skills, 2-4 years

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensure product is produced and delivered on time.
  2. Oversee production flow of assigned lines.
  3. Work with Engineering on any changes and or updates to customer orders.
  4. Responsible for assigned team in the areas of Operations, Production, Safety, Lean, Quality, and Engineering with continuous improvement and professional development.
  5. Supervise production planning, instrument manufacturing, purchasing and shipping departments.
  6. Complete and submit organizational paperwork to include days off requests, employee evaluations / rate changes, and corrective actions.
  7. Initiate the interview process, facility tours, and the employee recognition program.
  8. Work directly with Human Resources on payroll and edits.
  9. Responsible for ensuring LCI quality standards are followed.

  2. Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English)
  3. Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to measurements, directions, instructions, etc.
  4. Must possess critical thinking and successful problem-solving skills.
  5. Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
  6. Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations
  7. Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has the following positions reporting to it:

  1. Supervision of 1-5 employees
  2. Team Leaders
  3. Manufacturing Floaters

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Travel will be minimal to none and would be primarily local during the business day.
