Reporting to the David J. Nolan Dean of the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management and secondarily to the SC Johnson College of Business Associate Dean for Student Services, the Director of Student Services is responsible for leadership and development of the Dyson students services team including the registrar and a staff of advisors and administrative support professionals. The Director oversees all undergraduate student support functions including new student communications and orientation, the Dyson transition course-Dyson by Design, academic review and advisement of Dyson undergraduates and supporting students of concern and responding to students in crisis in collaboration with campus colleagues. The Director also supervises the Graduate Coordinator of the Master of Professional Studies (MPS) program in Applied Economics and Management. The Director leads collaboration and coordination of student programming in partnership with the Director of Undergraduate Studies and alongside other Dyson-based student-facing teams including career management and diversity & inclusion, as well as with the college admissions team and other college functions including alumni affairs & development, external relations, information technology, facilities and finance. The Director represents Dyson and is an active participant in university networks, working groups, and committees often convened by the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and teams such as New Student Programs and the Dean of Students office within Student and Campus Life. Enrollment representatives within Cornell's colleges, schools, and units regularly collaborate and partner with the Enrollment Division to accomplish the University's enrollment goals. It is critical that the Director establishes strong rapport with the students and is a leader in community-building efforts with the students. Required Qualifications
